GerbilSpec

Executable specification for Gerbil v0.19.

This repository follows the ruby/spec model: specs describe observed behavior of the pinned Gerbil implementation and are run unmodified by other implementations. Gerbil is the reference for this version of the spec.

Run

gxtest spec

To run with explicit tool paths:

GERBIL=/opt/gerbil/bin/gerbil GXTEST=/opt/gerbil/bin/gxtest sh ci/gerbil-v0.19.sh

Rules

  • New specs must pass on real Gerbil v0.19 before merge.
  • Specs use :std/test only.
  • Implementation failures are recorded under tags/<impl>/<version>/ with a reason and issue link.
  • AI-assisted drafts must be generated from observed Gerbil behavior, source exports, and existing spec examples. Do not encode behavior from memory.
